The 2G scam fire has reached the doorstep of the Prime Minister with official documents showing that he removed spectrum pricing from the terms of references of a group of ministers (GoM) set up by him in January 2006. Singh diluted the GoM's agenda, whose initial terms of reference touched upon every aspect of spectrum allocation including pricing, under then telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran's pressure and his decision paved the way for A. Raja to pull off arguably the biggest scam in recent history.
