Cesspool of Kashmir politics

The hundreds of leaked diplomatic cables on Kashmir have virtually removed a lid from a stinking gutter. For people of Kashmir the leaked cables does not reveal anything new — it only confirms what is known for many years now. However, what is embarrassing is the coming to the fore of the corrupt behaviour of politicians (cutting across the mainstream and separatists divide). WikiLeaks is not a gospel truth, yet it helps to understand the thinking of American diplomats.
