After the revelation that CPM leaders from Kerala wooed US investments while screaming about its ‘imperialism,’ confidential cables released by the whistle-blower website today said former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had told the US ambassador in 2009 that communist ideology and his party needed to “either change or perish”.
