Now, Facebook and Twitter under govt scanner

The Centre is intent on monitoring conversations on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. It has written to the department of telecom, asking it to “ensure effective monitoring of Twitter and Facebook”, a fact the minister of state for communications and information technology, Milind Deora, acknowledged a few days ago in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha.
