Does UPA think the economy's on autopilot?

An economy on autopilot will soon nosedive. When will the government wake up to that reality? Inflation is biting. Factory output is declining. Growth figures - that magic statistic the UPA brandishes in self-congratulation - are being revised downwards. The Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC) has pegged India's GDP growth for the current fiscal at 8.2%, down from the earlier 9% estimate. Not everyone's buying that.
