Pavit exposes tall claims of coastal security

The beaching of the Panama-flagged, crewless MT Pavit, believed to have sunk in the high seas, at Mumbai has exposed the chinks in the coastal security system. To wit, it was these chinks which allowed 10 terrorists from Pakistan to reach the Mumbai shores in 2008 and enact one of the deadliest assaults on the metropolis in which 166 innocent people were killed and 293 wounded, many of them seriously.
