International trade should happen voluntarily and not under any pressure, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) as he appealed to Indians to opt for swadeshi products . Mr. Bhagwat’s appeal came on a day when U.S. President Donald Trump’s 25% additional tariff on India kicked in , bringing the total amount of levies imposed by the country to 50%.
