State Dept, CIA came in way of FBI's plans to arrest Fai
Ghulam Nabi Fai, whose activities as a front man of ISI for Pakistan’s Kashmir agenda in America for more than 20 years now stand exposed, was to have been arrested several times earlier this year, but on each occasion, the State Department or the CIA advised by the FBI against it for fear of worsening the US’s frayed ties with Pakistan. Citing a US law enforcement official on this score, The New York Times reported on Sunday that the indictments against Fai and co-accused Zaheer Ahmad came as the CIA was trying to negotiate the release of a Pakistani doctor who was jailed by the ISI for having helped the Americans track down Osama bin Laden before he was killed on May 1.
