Cong MPs prod NCTE for favours

Union Cabinet Ministers, Congress MPs and top office-bearers of the ruling party have contributed most to the mushrooming growth of teachers’ training institutes across the country. They have been putting pressure on  the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) to grant recognition to B.Ed training institutes, several of which were even derecognised or denied permission for the want of the minimum requisites.
