Air India: History in the making

Contrary to what most readers and the general public think, the muchtalked- about Air India pilots strike is not over. It has just reached a stalemate. Let me explain where things stand. As of now, none of the pilots has rejoined work. There were around 450 pilots in the Indian Pilots Guild (IPG) who went on strike in May. Of these, the management sacked 101 of the early agitators. The management and the civil aviation ministry may have assumed at that point that the move would scare the rest of the pilots.
