Get diplomacy out of Delhi
Residents of New Delhi and urban citizens in the rest of India share a peculiar, bipolar relationship. Other cities look upon the relatively wide roads and infrastructure of the national capital with some envy. They see it, correctly, as the pampered baby of the Urban Development Ministry and the Union Government, which pours in money for periodic upgrades of New Delhi’s roads and flyovers, commuter network (including the Metro Rail) and so on.
