First get power, then call big players, experts to Nitish

Even as Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said at the outset, that Global Bihar Summit 2012 is not “an investors’ meet”, economist Lord Meghnad Desai and Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla did some hard talk on Saturday. They said that Bihar cannot lure big investors till it produced adequate electricity and stopped power subsidy. Lord Meghnad Desai called power subsidy a “free feast”, which must stop. “Giving subsidy is not just waste but destruction of resources”, he said.
