The firebrand leader may be a giant killer in politics but what drives Mamata Banerjee is a sense of destiny and an unshakeable faith in providence. According to her memoirs titled My Unforgettable Memories, due for launch next week, Banerjee sees herself as the perennial outsider in what she calls the "neatly manicured garden" of parliamentary politics, a misfit too stubborn to accept the exigencies of power and too in-your-face to understand political doublespeak.
