Shazia Ilmi, ex-journalist: The Muslim face of Team Anna

In September 2004, Shazia Ilmi, then a TV news anchor, visited Ralegan Siddhi to shoot for a special series covering the Maharashtra assembly polls. The episode the team shot from there did not involve the local reformer Anna Hazare, who was travelling at the time. Seven years later, with Hazare rising to national prominence, Ilmi, the former primetime anchor, has reinvented herself. She is now the urbane, Muslim, media-savvy face of Team Anna.
