At this juncture of history where inter-dependence in a global village is rapidly circumventing old and outdated mind-sets, geographical compulsions, or burdens of past history, have the potential of being harnessed for collective good of mankind. Pakistan is in this enviable position of sitting astride a land bridge with the capacity to link South and Central Asia. What one end of this bridge needs, desperately, the other end has the means to fulfil. Pakistan, on the middle span of the bridge, has the potential to oblige both and, in return, garner economic benefits and gratitude that may be worth much more than dollars and rupees.
