DMK chief's wife named for first time in 2G scam

A day after the polling in Tamil Nadu, the Enforcement Directorate on Friday charged DMK chief Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal, daughter Kanimozhi and former Telecom minister A. Raja with money laundering charges. The case relates to the 2G spectrum allocation scam in which the CBI has also pressed charges, but this is the first time that Dayalu Ammal has been prosecuted by any agency in the matter.
