A foreign woman in New Delhi

I have to admit, I came to India with a prior warning ringing in my head: Be careful, for India is not safe for women. My first week in India did not ease my mind. Wearing what I saw as conservative clothing, a blouse with a below-knee length skirt and tights, I went to my first day of work. A bad decision, as I was immediately sent to my first assignment – the dharna by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on January 20th.
