The recently introduced steps to introduce the concept of  Mohalla Sabha and provide it legitimacy through a complex new process of creating new constituency units of 5000 residents in each locality and assigning them two elected representatives with all the formal paraphernalia of an election by the State Election Commission is a dangerous misadventure and a disaster in the making.
