UPA goes for broke on Telangana

The Congress party-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government is going for broke and has decided to pursue the plan to create a separate state of Telangana to its logical conclusion. It proposes, despite stiff opposition even from its state unit in Andhra Pradesh, to get the nod of the Union cabinet and push for the passage of the Bill in Parliament next week.
