Politics of worst kind: Congress wanted to misuse communal Bill

Yet another sly effort by the beleaguered Congress-led UPA regime to consolidate its shrinking vote-bank in the run-up to the general election has thankfully been torpedoed by the Opposition. On Wednesday, the Rajya Sabha deferred the controversial Bill on communal violence under pressure from the main Opposition, which also received full-throated support from across the political spectrum.
