2G 'zero loss' is now a Rs 45,000 crore windfall - and counting

Vindication and validation not just for former Comptroller and Auditor General Vinod Rai but for Supreme Court and the CBI as well. The Rs 44,600 crore windfall by the end of Day 2 of bids for spectrum airwave auctions by the government in the 1800 and 900 MHz bands, across the 22 circles, has proved that the CAG's loss figures in the 2G scam were based on actual market potential and not mere presumptions as has been alleged by the UPA.
