The AAP is flirting with illusions

President Pranab Mukherjee picked an unusual topic to take on in his speech on the eve of this nation's 65th Republic Day: hypocrisy. Alongside the mainstays of official Indian rhetoric - 'emerging India,' 'communal forces,' an overused Rabindranath Tagore quote - Mukherjee offered these words: "Elections do not give any person the licence to flirt with illusions… Populist anarchy cannot be a substitute for governance."
