Congress ahead in Haryana, BJP-SAD leads in Punjab

There is some good news for the Congress from Haryana even as in neighbouring Punjab, the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance is ahead. In both the states, Aam Aadmi Party (AAp) is emerging as a serious challenger. The Congress, which is facing serious allegations of massive corruption, is still ahead of all other political parties in Haryana. Even though its vote share has come down by 8 per cent when compared to 2009, it still has 34 per cent vote share in the state.
