Praful sues for libel, publisher junks Bhargava’s book on AI’s ‘descent’

Bloomsbury Publishing India Pvt Ltd has withdrawn the book, The Descent of Air India written by Jitender Bhargava, a former executive director of Air India. The publishing house has also apologised to former aviation minister Praful Patel, one of those criticised in the book. Bhargava’s book, released on October 11 last year, had blamed Patel, among others, for AI’s downfall. Patel had filed a criminal defamation case against the publisher and author in a Mumbai court.
