Congress' Rahul dilemma deepens

At a time when the Congress is grappling with some difference of opinion over the timing of anointment of its second-in-command, Rahul Gandhi, as the party’s prime ministerial candidate, a section of the top brass is strongly opposing any announcement in this regard at the January 17 AICC session. Congress ‘strategists’ have expressed their opinions against such a move — which was much anticipated amid an increasing clamour — during the AICC session, which, sources said, is also in tandem with Rahul’s “present frame of mind”.
