Silly of Arvind Kejriwal to refuse security

Much of the ongoing debate over what is referred to as ‘VIP security’ is ill-informed or politically-motivated drivel. Individuals who have a highly visible public profile, command popular support or are important officials (for example key scientists, top brass of the Armed Forces, Secretaries in key Ministries) of the Government are targetted by assassins and assorted attackers for a variety of reasons. These reasons could range from ideology to mental instability to personal animosity.
