Punjab Congress in crisis as a dozen more leave

The Punjab Congress is being rocked by rebellion and infighting, with more members quitting their organisational posts and accusing the party leadership of meting out step-motherly treatment to them. Twelve more leaders, including three sitting MLAs and three prominent Dalit leaders, have resigned from the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) since Saturday as the rift between state party chief Partap Singh Bajwa and the rival faction led by Amarinder Singh continues to grow.
