Government should rise above partisan politics

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar’s decision to return the PAC report on the 2G spectrum scam to its chairman, Murli Manohar Joshi, is a highly unusual episode in the history of parliamentary probes. Till now, these committees had performed reasonably well to investigate various aspects of the government’s functioning and set an example worth emulating of non-partisan conduct.
