Unworkable in present situation

The Congress-led Govern-ments at the Centre and in Delhi are fully conscious of the suffering that has been caused to the nation by the numerous scandals, policy paralysis and misgovernance. With less than a few months away from the Delhi Assembly and the Lok Sabha elections, the UPA regime’s desperation to implement food security is an attempt to deflect the electorate’s attention from its scam-tainted record, inflation and steep price rise, and coax it into voting the ruling regime back to power.
