UPA's rural job scheme fails to do its job

On a day the Lok Sabha took up the UPA Government’s historic Food Security Bill for vote, another of its flagship schemes, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA), seems to be floundering miserably. Updated records show that none of the States have provided the guaranteed 100-days’ wage employment in last three years.
