India-Japan to speed up nuke deal talks
India and Japan on Wednesday agreed to accelerate negotiations for an agreement on civil nuclear cooperation which will involve trade in nuclear technology and materials. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe agreed to continue discussions to prepare the ground for India to become a part of the international export control regimes, such as the Nuclear Suppliers Group and the Missile Technology Control Regime.
