India's core data may not present right picture

India's core sector output that grew at the slowest in a decade in 2012-13 could be significantly understated. The official numbers don't include oil output from a five-year-old unit in the world's largest refinery run by India's biggest corporate, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), at Jamnagar in Gujarat.
