Airtel gets 3G shock

The Supreme Court directed telecom major Bharti Airtel on Thursday not to extend 3G roaming services to new customers in the seven circles where it does not have licences. A Bench presided over by Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir, however, restrained the Centre from taking any coercive action against Airtel for recovering the fine for entering into such roaming pacts with other service providers.
