Govt asks Coal India to restore supply to NTPC

The government ordered a truce between two warring state-owned companies and asked Coal India Ltd (CIL) on Friday to restore coal supplies to NTPC Ltd, the country’s largest utility. Union coal minister Sriprakash Jaiswal asked the miner to supply two NTPC units at least 50% of their requirements after CIL suspended supplies.
