Kudankulam N-plant to be operational in April: Govt

Having been delayed by over a year, the first unit of the Kudankulam nuclear power plant is likely to get operational sometime next month, the government said on Wednesday. Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office V Narayansamy told Parliament in a written reply to a question that all efforts were being made to "commission units 1 and 2 of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project by April 2013 and October 2013 respectively".
