Mauritius to check tax treaty misuse

Mauritius said on Tuesday that it is "committed and willing" to collaborate and address India's concerns to prevent any misuse of the tax avoidance treaty and ensure that it remains commercially viable. The statement comes shortly after India clarified on the tax residency certificate (TRC) issue after the phrasing of the clause in the finance bill sparked concerns among investors.
