Strike may cost economy rs20,000cr

While commuting woes are likely to hit the people hard, particularly in Delhi and NCR, on February 20 and 21 owing to the nationwide strike called by 11 central trade unions, the closure of banks for two consecutive days could pose innumerable problems for customers. While some of the impact of the strike might be blunted by the availability of automated teller machines and internet banking, a large percentage of people with no access to these facilities would be affected.
