The government on Wednesday raised the minimum support price (MSP) of wheat under pressure from producers, a move that’s expected to see state warehouses filling up with more of the foodgrain. At the same time, it also allowed the export of 2.5 million tonnes (mt) of wheat since it has an abundance of the cereal in its warehouses.
