Rate of extinction of species exaggerated?

After climate gate, the green brigade might be looking at another scandalous exaggeration laid bare – this time by fellow scientists. The rate at which species of animals and plants are getting extinct is nowhere near what wildlife conservationists have claimed. The claims of extinction have been exaggerated by as much as 160%, two scientists said in journal Nature.
