FDI in retail: A fair deal for farmers

The Bharat bandh called by various parties to protest against FDI and other reforms found no response in villages. Speaking to small shopkeepers in villages after the bandh, I found that most of them had not answered the call to close shops. They were not agitated. In fact, they looked forward to the prospect of more prosperous farms.
