2G witness points finger at Dayalu

The CBI may have spared Dayalu Ammal but a prosecution witness in the 2G spectrum case has told the agency that DMK chief M. Karunanidhi’s second wife was present at a meeting that decided to accept an alleged bribe of Rs 200 crore. Kalaignar TV general manager (finance) G. Rajendran said MD “Sharad Kumar and Mrs Karunanidhi”, who holds 60 per cent stake in the channel, attended the February 2009 meeting of the board of directors where they decided to accept the money from scam-accused Shahid Usman Balwa’s DB Realty.
