Parallax View: So, are we any wiser about the Purulia arms drop?

The Purulia arms drop dates back to December 1995 and because I then worked with Sunday magazine, which was Calcutta-based and Purulia is in West Bengal, the story had a special resonance for me. What happened was this: villagers in the Purulia district of West Bengal woke up to find that somebody had air-dropped sophisticated weapons in the countryside.
