2G scam: Top babus slept on job, PAC report

A number of bureaucrats failed to be vigilant or proactive to prevent the loss to the exchequer from the 2G spectrum allocation scam, the draft report of the Public Accounts Committee has said. The report is expected to be adopted by the committee. The officials under adverse glare of the PAC report are mostly from the Ministry of Finance and the DoT, and include former Finance Secretary D Subbarao.
