The Supreme Court conveyed to Italy on Tuesday that unless it committed to produce its four marines as witnesses during trial in the killing of two Kerala fishermen, the question of releasing the Italian ship did not arise. The observation from the apex court came after Italy adopted a rigid stand refusing to give an undertaking till the question of jurisdiction was first decided.
