No Opp consensus on Kalam

The BJP gambit of floating APJ Abdul Kalam’s name as a consensus presidential nominee has not quite gone as planned with the Left parties backing Vice-President Hamid Ansari for the top post while NDA convenor Sharad Yadav claimed that issue of presidential candidate had not been discussed within the Opposition alliance.
