The new voice of urban India?
The BJP was not expected to retain Delhi in the civic polls held in the city this week. Anti-incumbency, combined with the reported lackluster nature of its campaign, seemed to be working in Congress’ favour and Sheila Dikshit’s long-cherished dream of controlling Delhi at all levels — municipality through Parliament, which she indeed did in the period between 2004 and 2007 — seems in the offing.
