Opposition in Lok Sabha on Thursday erupted in protest over the a report published in TOI on Thursday that a draft CAG report has slammed huge gains accruing to private players because of the coal ministry's failure to auction coal blocks. While NDA members pointed out that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had held charge of the ministry during the period reviewed by CAG, other Opposition members also demanded an explanation from the government over the lapses pointed out by the auditor.
