Ally Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, whose suggestions on key policies have been sidelined by the UPA, said here today that he was “pained” by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement about coalition politics stalling decision-making. “To hear the Prime Minister make such a generalisation about allies pained me and my colleagues. My party is an important constituent of the UPA and we have always respected the coalition dharma. We haven’t walked out while voting on issues in Parliament,” Pawar said at a press conference in Mumbai.
