All of a sudden the Catholic electorate in Goa has become the centre of political attention. The BJP has clearly attributed its landslide victory in the State to support from the biggest minority community in Goa (23 per cent out of 14 lakh), a community hitherto known to keep the BJP at an arm’s length.
