BJP raises pitch, wants govt to sack Khurshid

Hours after Chief Election Commissioner S Y Quraishi sent the letter to President Pratibha Patil against Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid, the BJP on Saturday said the minister had no right to continue in the government. The party said an “unprecedented situation had been created” with the poll body constrained to seek intervention of the highest constitutional authority over Khurshid’s repeated violation of the model code of conduct.
